Guidelines for planning your self-study time during the PT PRO course.

Updated this week

As soon as you book your spot in the PT PRO education, you’ll gain access to the pre-studies (Lic. PT Online). These pre-studies cover anatomy, physiology, exercise science, and foundational theoretical knowledge for the PT profession, ensuring that your instructor-led sessions focus on the hands-on aspects of the job that are best learned in person.

Estimated Study Time for Pre-Studies

The pre-study workload is calculated based on the maximum time needed for a student with no prior study experience completing the course over 12 months, totaling 406 hours.

Note: Study time can vary significantly depending on factors such as prior knowledge, study habits, and pace. Many students complete the pre-studies in about half the estimated time.

Pre-studies must be completed before the instructor-led portion of the program begins. While the pre-studies include Lic. PT Online materials, the total hours required are fewer compared to completing Lic. PT Online independently, as the practical training and examinations are conducted during the PT PRO course.

Self-Study During Instructor-Led Sessions

During the instructor-led portion, self-study is estimated to take approximately 182 hours. This estimate is highly individual and can vary widely depending on:

  • Study habits

  • Prior experience with fitness or related subjects

  • Availability of a quiet study environment

  • Other personal commitments

Study Recommendations

We recommend initially setting aside 30–60 minutes per day for self-study. This will help you gauge your pace and adjust your study plan as needed for the remainder of the course.

By planning your time effectively, you can maximize your learning experience and make the most of the PT PRO education.
