Certain professions—such as physicians—have what is called a protected professional title (in swedish - "skyddad yrkestitel"). This usually means that the practitioner is licensed by a government agency (in Sweden, Socialstyrelsen / the National Board of Health and Welfare), and strict regulations apply. It is illegal to claim such a title without formal education and authorization.
In the personal training industry, however, there is no protected title. Instead, it is schools and industry organizations that issue various types of credentials. This is why you may encounter different terms like license, diploma, certificate, or course certificate, depending on the context.
This makes it all the more important to choose an institution with a good reputation in the business. We therefore recommend you to talk to recruiters at your local gyms to hear their views on the schools you're evaluating.
