There are several ways to plan your studies in PT PRO, but here’s a simple tip to make it as smooth as possible:
Go to “Activities” on the student portal. Under each lesson day, you’ll see which chapters are connected to that lesson.
In the lesson description, there are two types of recommendations:
1. “Chapters recommended to be completed before the day”
Great to read if you have time, but you will still be able to follow the lesson without any problem even if you haven’t gone through them.
2. “Chapters you should prioritize finishing before the day”
These chapters are important to read in advance because the lesson builds on that content.
To clarify the recommendations, here are two example study approaches:
If you have more than 4 weeks before the digital introduction:
Start the course by following the order of the chapters as they are listed (Research, Public Health & Source Criticism, Anatomy, Physiology, Exercise Science, etc.). Once you’ve completed the first chapter, check how much time it took you and assess whether you think you’ll be able to finish all chapters and assignments before the first teacher-led weekend.
If you feel confident that you’ll have enough time, continue in the original order. If you’re unsure whether you’ll finish in time, prioritize the chapters linked to the first lessons in the schedule.
If you have less than 4 weeks before the digital introduction:
Start by going through the prioritized chapters and assignments at the beginning of the schedule. After that, continue with the remaining chapters and tasks in the order they appear in the schedule.
So, which approach is best?
You might think there’s one obvious way that works better than the others, but in the end, we’re all different and function in different ways. Some people know they need a bit of time pressure to be effective in their studies, while others prefer to plan each part in peace and at their own pace. In other words, only you can feel which study structure is right for you.
However, if you’re unsure, we’re happy to book a call with you to create a personal study plan. During that call, we can also review any adjustments needed to make the course work with your schedule.
